Sunflower girl

Good morning to you all.  Today starts a new day for our Challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society.  Our theme this time is die cuts and punches.  I have used both with my image The die cute is the lacy circle and the punch is the edging on the card.  This image is Img 830 and you can find her in the Esty shop here.
I love how she turned out and will use this for a birthday card for a friend.

I colored her with my copics and just used a piece of water color paper for the circle behind her.  I have been having fun making some different colored background to use on some of my cards.  They are fun and so easy to do.  The first  embellishment is the bow that I made with my new bow maker. Then I decided that it needed a little bit more bling so I added some pearls to the die cut around her.  I wanted to keep her simple as she wanted to be center stage.

You can find our challenge here.
I do hope you will come play along with us, we have some great Images as prizes and you will love them.  Sherri is an wonderful artist and wow trying to decide what images to buy is so hard.  So go take a look around the Esty shop and see what you can find and come join us. You don't have to use our images but you do have to follow the theme.  Everyone has die cuts or punches so go gather your supplies and share with us your creation for a chance to win.
I hope to see you there.

Till next time Happy Crafting to you all.

Monochrome Style Image 086

Good Morning to you all.
It is a wonderful sunny day here in  South Florida.  We have had a lot of rain here though but we need it.
Today I am posting a wonderful image that I did for Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog.
The Theme this time is Monochrome.  I fell in love with this image as it reminds me of my sister.  I colored her hair gray and she has gray hair.
So with keeping with the theme I used gray's and white.  The background paper is also black gray and white.  The flowers I made special for this card using my heartfelt creations classic rose and flower shaping kit.  If you make these kind of flowers the flower shaping kit is a must in my opinion.  I couldn't make them look like this other wise.  I chose black leaves because the background was white and the green was not in keeping with the theme.  I really love how she turned out and I hope my sister likes it as well.  I will send it to her as a happy day card. (they are in the mist of a major renovation and she is a clean freak.)
I would like to invite each of you to come join the challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog here.  So this is your reminder that there is still time to join the challenge to win some great prizes.
You can find her and a lot of wonderful images at the Esty Shop and I will post the link here for you to get there in a flash to find some great images to play with.

So crafters till next time I wish you nothing but wonderful days for crafting.

Inspiration by Linda "Meet Dragonfly"

Hi everyone.  Today is my last day to inspire you for Ching-Chou Kuik Stamps.  For the team it is anything goes for a theme.  I decided to go for my most favorite image from the many stamps that she offers. I love Dragon flies and have tons in my back yard a lot of the time.  I do hope you will go play in the challenge this month with the theme of "Monochrome".  I posted my card for that theme on the 6th so if you want to see that one for ideas then you will have to go check it out. You can find the challenge site here.
Now here is my card for today.

I really love how she turned out.  I have colored her in a few different colors but I really like this one.   I used a glitter pen on the wings of the dragon fly to make it stand out but your really can't see it in the photo.  I colored everything with copics and the pink on the back ground is eye shadow my new go to medium for backgrounds.  The eye shadow makes the paper shine also that you can't see on the photo but it is so pretty in real life.  The die cut is a spell binders and the corner gems are from recollections.  I wanted to keep it fairly simple to not take away from the beautiful image.  The green gems are some from my stash so have no clue who makes them.
We have a facebook page as well so I hope you will pop over there and join in the fun as well.
So I bid you all good by from my CCK Design Team but I will still be posting for others.  So please come back and check out my blog from time to time and if you want to keep up with my ramblings then think about becoming a follower and you can see what I am up too.  Thanks  to the ones who always leave me a message and hope you will continue to do that.  So for now Happy Crafting from me to you...

I colored her with my copics and the background of the image is a technique I learned in my coloring classes.  I love how she turned out and I really hope you will come join in the fun at the challenge.  I used some pearls from my stash and some lace to get this look.  I used a cake doily behind her as well and popped her up with foam dots for demention.
We also have challenges on our facebook page if your interested in that.  Lots of inspiration and prizes there as well.  So till next time have a wonderful crafting day.

Blue and Green

Good Morning to you all.  Today is my day for a Reminder for our Challenge over at Scrapbook Society Stamp Challenger and you can find that here

Our theme this week for the DT is greens and blues.  So I did both.  My background plaid has both colors in it and is from Recollections paper pack.  the image was colored with copics and again I chose both colors.  The sentiment is by Stamp-in up and is an old one.  The pearls are from a find at a garage sale where I got a big box of pearls and lace for $2.00.  I love bargains like that, but who doesn't? The buttons are tied with some silver cord from my stash and the buttons are from my stash that I take off old clothes that I turn into rags.  I hope you like my card and will come play along with our challenge.  We have lots of fun there and lots of good inspiration as well.

Till next time have a great Crafting day!!!!

Imspiration by Linda "Gentle as a Breeze"

Good Morning to you all.  Today is my day for inspiration for you.  I am using the image Gentle as a Breeze today.  It reminded me of Spring so I thought it would be appropriate to use for the theme "Monochrome".  You can use any image but if you use a Ching-Chou image you get two chances to win.  She has some wonderful images to choose from and you can find her here in her Esty Store.  We have the challenge for the entire month so you have plenty of time to make your card and join us.  Here is my card for the challenge this month.

I made a Z card for this month for some variety in my card making.  I colored her with Copics and mounted her on Dark brown card stock.  The gold  and brown paper is from a wall paper book.  It seemed to be just the right one to use.  the butterfly is a spellbinders die cut and the tail of pearls is from Recollections. As are the 3 pearls at the bottom and top.
I hope you like my card.  I would like to invite you to come play along with us at the challenge this month. You can find it here. And we also have a facebook page to play along with challenges as well.  Well all that is it for me for today, so I hope you enjoy a great crafting day!!

Rory's Bag of Lady Bugs

Today I am posting this sweet image by Heather Valentine.  It is called Rory's bag of ladybugs.  Of course I had to have it as it matches my blog name.  I have so many of these wonderful little images and had to color this one up.

I used my copics to color her and the background is a new technique I have been trying and I love it.  It is so versatile you can use it with any image. Just change your color scheme  for the background.  I suggest everyone try it.  I found it on utube under water coloring.    My flowers are from heartfelt creations an it is the classic rose. the little ones are some from Michael's that I got a long time ago and never used.  I needed something to match some of the colors in my image so I used those to fill in.   I tried to keep it pretty simple so she would be the center attraction.

I would like to enter this into the challenges  at:
Through The Craft Room Door
Inspiration Destination challenge blog:  3 of a kind  (three flowers the same)

Walking in the rain

Hi All it is Afternoon here and I am a bit late getting started today.  I have insomnia so bad that my days an nights are turned around big time.  Anyway it isn't about me it is about this wonderful image and my playing with a new technique that I found.
This is a Lacy Sunshine image that I have had for a very long time. So I printed up a bunch of them to color while watching Baseball with my hubby.  I love how she turned out and I found this water color technique on Utube and wanted to try it.  It is really simple and you can achieve such stunning results.  Lots of ways to use the water colors.  I have more ways to try this week so we will see how they turn out.  I know they are lots of fun!!

I kept it pretty simple as I wanted her to be the center piece of my card.  the butter flies are a die cut from Stamp-in Up and the enamel dots are home made using Pearler beads.  I am always looking for ideas to save money as I make so many cards.  I think this one will be one that makes it into the box for the Cancer kids.

I hope you like my little lady walking in the rain.  If you do I hope you will leave me a comment and let me know.  Thanks for visiting my blog.  So till next time Happy Crafting.

Flower Girl

Good Morning everyone.  Today is my day for posting for Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog, here
And a gentle reminder to come check out the Challenge there as you only have a few days left in the month to enter.

I have colored up a very sweet image for your inspiration today.   This is Image 688 and you can find her here in the Esty shop,  so grab a cup of coffee or whatever your drinking and be prepared to browse as there are literally tons of images to look at.  It is like Christmas in June.  I know I can spend tons of time on these sites but sure is a good way to spend my craft money.  So take your time and look around.

So on to the card information.  I colored her with my copics as they are my go to way of coloring.  Once that was done I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do with her.  After sitting and looking at her my mind started working and I know it had to have more flowers.  So I made the large one with my classic rose from Heartfelt creations and shaped it with the flower shaping tool set I got for Christmas last year.  Believe me if you made these kinds of flowers that is a must have.  I tried white leaves but they got lost in all the light colored background so I went with the teal to match the base card    I colored the large flower to match as closely as I could.  Then I knew it needed some smaller ones so I grabbed my shoe box with all my flowers in it. I found these small ones from Recollections and decided to use those.  I added stickles to all there petals to make them stand out a bit more.  I also used eye shadow on the background of the image because with the white dress and white background she was lost.  You could use this for a wedding or bridal shower too.  It is a pretty versatile image and so pretty.

I do hope you will come play along with us at the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog. The link for easy access is at the top of this page.  So grab your supplies and make your card and come join the fun for some wonderful prizes.

So everyone it has been fun to show you my card for this new design team that I am on and I look forward to being able to do many more.  Let me know if you like this card here in the comments and I do want every one to know I read each and everyone of them.  So til next time Happy Crafting and hope to see you at the Challenge.

Inspiration by Linda "Come Softly

Good Morning to all of you wonderful crafters.  Today is my day to  inspire your creative juices.

My card today is a posting for the very creative artist Ching-Chou Kuik and her wonderful fantasy images.  This lovely image is called Come Softly (girl with Moth) and you can find this image in the Esty store here

I decided that I needed to try some new hair colors so this time I went with Red and I am pleased with how it turned out.
This is the 3rd Week of the month and our DT theme is Anything goes so I just went with what my heart told me to do.  Yeah I do that sometimes, just for fun.  She is colored with copics of course and the background is a die cut that I got from a friends die cuts and I love it.  Can't find it anywhere so I have to keep calling to ask for more.  LOL  I added some glitter paper behind it to make it sparkle  and the glitter paper was the exact color as the base card.  The flower I colored with my ink pads as it was stark white and was to light and didn't look good.  The gem is from my stash.  I didn't add a lot of embellishments to this one.  I loved the moth and how it stood out so wanted not to take away from that.

I do hope you will come down to Ching-Chou Kuik challenges here to play along with us our theme for this month and you still have a week to get in on the fun is Scent of Spring and we also have challenges on our facebook page as well.  I do hope you have been inspired and will leave me some love,  So tell next time all.  Happy Crafting to everyone one.

My Dust Bunnies

Good Morning to you all.  I am posting this sweet image by Imagine that by Kris.  This is my dust bunny girl.  I have used this image so many times and once again I have made her into a card.  I have made wall hangings (for my craft room) and for my sister as well.  I didn't take a pic of the inside where I put the sentiment but it says don't feed the dust bunnies.  I used cotton balls to make some dust bunnies for the embellishments and I colored her with my copics. I would like to enter this sweet image into the challenge at Imagine that.  You can find that challenge here if you want to come play along.  You don't have to use one of Kris's images but if you do you get a free image from her and this time it is an adorable giraffe.  You have till the end of the month to join in.  Hope to see you there.

Challenges I would like to enter this into as well

Inspiration by Linda " Starry"

Hey everyone I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
I am posting for Ching-Chou Kuik Digital stamps today.  My sweet image is called "Starry" and you can find this wonderful image here.

Today the DT theme is "Use Kraft Paper " so what I decided to do is color my image on Kraft Paper.
I colored this with copics and mounted on it on a dark pink.  The gems are from Michaels and the stars are gems I have had for a couple of years.  The base card is white.

I used eye shadow on the back ground to do the sky.  Then sprayed it with hair spray to make sure it doesn't come off.

I would love to invite you to come play along at the challenge here at Ching-Chou Kuik and our monthly challenge theme is Butterflies.  We also have a facebook page that you can play along with as well.  I do hope you will come play along with us there as well.
Well till next time I hope you all have a wonderful crafting day!!

Fathers Day

Good Morning to you all.  I am excited  to announce that I have been invited to be on the Sherri Baldy Design Team.  I love her images and can't wait to see all that we get to do.  I will be posting for her team at the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog twice a month and this sweet image is my first posting for her.
This image is called  Bestie Boy and I am using him for a fathers day card.  This is a reminder for the Challenge at the blog here.
I do hope you will come play along with us.  It is Anything goes with the option for Fathers Day.

I colored my image with copics and the hearts are a fiskars punch and I punched it 6 times for each of the three corners.  It raised them up like it would if it were chipboard. I wanted to keep it fairly simple so not to take away from the sweet image.
You can find this sweet image here at the Esty shop.  Sherri has many many wonderful images to choose from and is always coming up with more wonderful images so be sure to bookmark the store site so you can go back often and check out what she has come up with.  I know you won't be sorry.  She has coloring books as well if your interested in those.

So till next time I hope you like my image and will leave me some love.  I do take the time to read each and everyone of the comments.  Till I see you next time Happy Crafting.
